Every Tuesday afternoon, the girls have been going to dance class. All those hours of practice culminate in a concert for all the students at the Perth Concert Hall.
Today was that day.
The girls got dressed up in their beautiful outfits, and mom applied all the necessary makeup, hair buns, hairnets and wiglets. This was a performance in it's own right.
Mom managed to get the girls to the Concert hall on time, and I followed an hour or so later with Chris - but only after I managed to get Chris to tuck his shirt in and pull up his socks. We were going to the Concert Hall, after all.
Our seats were in the front row, but on the upper level, so we were still a fair way back. I had to stop Chris from careening over the balustrade once or twice, but other than that, they were good seats. Our girls came out onto stage about ten minutes into the performance. For me, it was one of those defining moments, on a par with the day they were born. There were these two tiny pips twirling, pointing and wiggling in front of a pucker gen audience (of about 1,500) on stage in the Perth Concert Hall.Courtney and Jess, you did such a wonderful job today.
You made us all so proud.
