It didn’t take long for the quality of knock knock jokes to deteriorate to a level of silliness that is only worthy of a four year old.
“Why did the Chicken cross the road?” got a barrel of
laughs, but not for the right reasons and “What is black and white and read all
over?” was a waste of time.
Jenny starts another joke with “What did the cowboys say
when they saw a whole bunch of Indians coming over the hill?”
Now, I’m thinking where on earth is she going with this? The
punchline of General Custers last stand comment of “Holy cow, where did all those
f….g Indians come from?” required the whole joke, and besides, we’re talking to four
and five year olds. I have since been made aware that the punchline of "There's Indians coming over the hill!" is supposed to be hilarious.
Anyway, then Courtney pipes up in a low pitched, broad Aussie accent
and with one arm waving in the air “G’day Mate!”
It turned out to be a funny joke after all because it had us
all in stitches.
